31 August 2007, on the 50th independence day of Malaysia, the three of us spent time at Pa's kampung in Rembau. Well, not the whole day though.
It was a Friday, so Pa had to stop by for Friday prayers at Pedas on our way back to Rembau. After prayers, we went to Cengkau town to buy something to bring home...more like local kuih.
We were at kampung until evening, as we had to go back to our Seremban home to help out the wedding preparation of our neighbour's daughter to be held on Saturday.
Here are the pics...

Kak Fiqah & Kak Cik transferring the cooked rendang
Whats all the fuss here...ohh! its another outdoor kitchen
Thats real hard work by Bang Long to look after the lemang
Bang Ngah is also back from Sabah...an extra hands to help Bang Long
Bang Ngah making sure the lemang is rotated for even cooking
Abang Lokman making his presence...to "help"?
Ahhh...the result of all the hard work.
Soon, it was evening and we had to pack up to leave for Seremban.
